ABOUT THE EVENT
The Kids’ Athletics Championship 2026 is a competitive athletics championship designed to provide young athletes with a professional and memorable sporting experience. The championship gives children an opportunity to compete, develop their skills, gain confidence and get recognised in a proper stadium environment.
The competition will bring together young athletes from schools, clubs, academies and individual entries across different age categories.

Athletes are expected to report well before their respective events. The competition will begin at 8:00 AM, before the inauguration programme.
Inauguration
The inauguration programme will be conducted after 9:30 AM.
The inauguration will be limited to 30 minutes so that the competition schedule can continue without unnecessary delay.
The athletics competition starts at 8:00 AM sharp and will not wait for the inauguration.

IMPORTANT RULE
The athlete must be born ON OR AFTER the date mentioned above to qualify for that age category.

NO REFUND once registration is confirmed.
NO TRANSFER of registration to another athlete.

NO ACCOMMODATION will be provided by the Organising Committee.
NO BIB COLLECTION ON EVENT DAY.
Bibs must be collected during the designated Bib Collection & Age Verification period.
Athletes must complete Age Verification and Bib Collection before Championship Day.

Athletes/parents should complete age verification and bib collection within the designated collection timings.
Important:
Parents/guardians should bring the required original age-verification documents for verification.
COMPETITION FORMAT
TRACK EVENTS
Track events will generally be conducted through:
HEATS → SEMI-FINAL → FINAL
The exact format will depend on the number of entries received in each event.
Direct Final
Where the number of participating athletes is low, the event may be conducted as a direct final.
Where required, the organisers may also conduct a direct final with a minimum competitive field as per the event schedule.
Long-Distance Events
Long-distance events will be conducted as direct finals.
The event will use a bunch start, where applicable.
FIELD EVENTS
For Long Jump and Throwing Events, each athlete will receive:
3 TRIALS ONLY
All three attempts will be recorded.
The athlete's best valid performance from the three trials will determine the final ranking.
There will be:
❌ No additional trials
❌ No extra round
❌ No fourth attempt
The top three performances after the three trials will determine:
🥇 1st Place
🥈 2nd Place
🥉 3rd Place
This format applies to the designated jumping and throwing events.
ATHLETE BENEFITS
PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATE
Every athlete who participates in the championship will receive a certificate.
MEDAL & MERIT CERTIFICATE
Athletes finishing in the top three positions will receive:

🥉 Bronze Medal + Merit Certificate
LUNCH
Lunch will be provided to all participating athletes.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast will NOT be provided.
Athletes and parents should make their own breakfast arrangements before reporting to the venue.
SPECIAL AWARDS
OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP — SCHOOL / CLUB
The Overall Championship Trophy will be awarded to the School or Club securing the highest number of medals throughout the championship.
HIGHEST MEDAL COUNT=OVERALL CHAMPION
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals secured by athletes representing the school or club will be counted towards the overall championship.
BEST ACTIVE SCHOOL / CLUB
This award recognises participation, rather than medal performance.
The Best Active School / Club will be awarded to the school or club with the:
HIGHEST NUMBER OF PARTICIPATING ATHLETES
This means a school or club can be recognised for actively encouraging more children to participate in athletics, even if it does not win the Overall Championship.
TRACK EVENTS — RULES & DISQUALIFICATIONS
BASIC TRACK RULES
Athletes must report to the Call Room/Reporting Area at the announced time.
Athletes must compete in the correct age category and registered event.
Athletes must wear their assigned bib number clearly and correctly.
Athletes must follow the instructions of the Starter, Officials and Track Judges.
Athletes must remain in their assigned lane whenever lane running applies.
Athletes must not obstruct, push, pull or interfere with another athlete.
Athletes must complete the race and cross the finish line under their own effort.
Athletes must follow the designated track and finish-line procedures.
Unsporting or disrespectful behaviour towards athletes, officials or volunteers may result in disciplinary action.
DISQUALIFICATION MAY OCCUR FOR
1. FALSE START
An athlete who commits a false start may be disqualified according to the applicable starting rules.
2. LANE INFRINGEMENT
Running outside the athlete’s permitted lane or gaining an unfair advantage through a lane infringement may result in disqualification.
3. INTERFERENCE
Pushing, blocking, deliberately cutting across another athlete, or otherwise interfering with another athlete may result in disqualification.
4. LEAVING THE TRACK
Leaving the designated track or course and gaining an advantage may result in disqualification.
5. UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT
Abusive, aggressive or deliberately disruptive behaviour towards another athlete, official or event staff may result in disqualification.
6. FAILURE TO FOLLOW OFFICIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Ignoring instructions from the Starter, Referee, Judges or other authorised officials may result in disciplinary action or disqualification.
7. IMPROPER ASSISTANCE
Receiving unauthorised assistance during the race is not permitted and may result in disqualification.
FINISHING THE RACE
The torso is used to determine an athlete’s position at the finish line. Hands, arms, legs and head are not used to determine the finishing position.
AGE ELIGIBILITY & CHAMPIONSHIP DISQUALIFICATION
AGE VERIFICATION & ELIGIBILITY
All athletes must compete only in the age category for which they are eligible.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to verify an athlete’s age at:
Registration
Bib Collection
Before competition
During competition
After the event, if any doubt or complaint arises
If, at any stage, the Organising Committee determines that an athlete has:
Exceeded the permitted age for the registered category;
Submitted incorrect or fraudulent age information; or
Competed while being ineligible,
the athlete may be disqualified from the championship.
WITHDRAWAL OF MEDALS & AWARDS
If an athlete is found to be ineligible due to an age violation, the disqualification may apply to the athlete’s entire participation in the championship, and not only the event in which the violation was detected.
Accordingly, the Organising Committee may:
Cancel the athlete’s results.
Withdraw medals secured by the athlete.
Withdraw merit certificates.
Withdraw trophies or other awards.
Remove the athlete from official championship results.
Where applicable, withdraw medals/points contributed to a School or Club Championship.
Require the return of medals, certificates or trophies already awarded.
OFFICIAL RESULTS & DISPUTES
Officials’ decisions made during the competition will be recorded as the official result.
For any dispute regarding timing or finishing, only official championship video and records will be considered.
A formal written request must be submitted by the club, school or parent/guardian.
The Organising Committee will review the relevant official records/video and make its decision.
The decision of the Organising Committee, based on official records and video, will be final
